The Placement Process

01. Consultation & Intake
Begin with a personalized intake call to discuss your specific needs, preferences, and the care recipient's unique requirements.

02. Agreement & Activation
Review the placement agreement, finalize payment terms, and activate your search to begin our recruitment process.

03. Recruitment & Screening
We source and vet candidates through rigorous screening, including application review, interviews, and background checks.

04. Candidate Review & Interviews
Review detailed candidate profiles and conduct interviews to ensure the ideal fit for your household and care recipient.

05. Selection & Direct Hire
Choose your caregiver and directly hire them. You are the caregiver’s employer and responsible for all management and payroll.

06. Guarantee & Support
Enjoy a satisfaction guarantee period during which we provide support and assistance if the placement does not meet your expectations.

Employer Responsibilities
After placement, the family is the caregiver’s direct employer. Vital Caregivers provides the referral, but the hiring family assumes all direct control.
Direct Hiring & Management
You are solely responsible for the direct hiring of the caregiver. This includes finalizing the employment agreement, managing the caregiver’s schedule, and overseeing their daily performance.
Payroll & Tax Compliance
As the employer, you are responsible for all payroll administration, including timely wage payments and the accurate filing of all federal and state tax forms.
Legal & Compliance Oversight
You must ensure full compliance with all employment laws. This includes maintaining a safe work environment, providing necessary training, and managing any workers’ compensation claims.
Replacement Guarantee
After the placement agreement is signed, the hiring family is covered by the replacement guarantee. This means if the caregiver is unable to perform their duties, we provide a qualified replacement.
