Do you employ caregivers?
No. Vital Caregivers is a private caregiver placement agency. We recruit, screen, and refer candidates for families to directly hire and manage after placement.
Who pays the caregiver?
The family directly hires the caregiver and is responsible for all compensation, payroll, taxes, and compliance with employment laws after the placement is complete.
How long does a search take?
Searches are generally conducted over up to 30 calendar days unless extended by mutual written agreement.
What screening is done?
We conduct a thorough application review, interviews, references, background/registry checks as applicable, and a qualification review to ensure a perfect fit.
What if the placement doesn't work?
Replacement support is available according to the placement agreement, giving families added confidence during the transition.
Can caregivers administer medication?
Medication reminders only. We do not permit caregivers to administer medication.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will Counties in Illinois.
Do you offer financing for the placement fees?
Yes we offer financing through a third-party financing partner. We also accept credit cards. We strive to make our service as affordable as possible so cost isn't a deciding factor in providing care for you or your loved one.
